Mr Pinty - a new 6ft cartoon character campaigning to save the British pub - will be marching, with other 6ft cartoon pint characters representing some of the UK's best-known beer brands, on Parliament on Wednesday 8 April.
They will be meeting in Parliament Square with placards to oppose Government plans to impose further beer tax rises in this month's Budget. They will then walk together to visit the Treasury to deliver a campaign postcard and then walk down Whitehall to Trafalgar Square, meeting members of the public on the way.
Due to his hectic schedule, Mr Pinty is not able to do interviews on the day. However, speaking from his local today, Mr Pinty said,
"Mr Pinty is very worried about the future of the British pub. That's why me and my mates will be marching on Downing Street on Wednesday."
